My biggest project to date – website and design company called Onewebsite. I developed this logo to represent the parts to the whole – the Many that creates the One. To me, this graphic presents the holistic nature of design and geometry and the foundation upon which to develop any principals – There is always a beginning, and end and a framework to support the details. Each of the six elements represent a spectrum of principals on the framework. While this is the highbrow inspiration for the logo, the name Onewebsite was created when I was sketching out the most important marketing tools for small business

When I received the project to create a website for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets, there was already a logo in place, it was just under-developed. The icon of the Bee stood alone, with undefined lines, hands, and details. I created the “Y” graphic based on common vintage baseball typography. I also added a third color, red, while making the other colors more pronounced and saturated. The broken bat is a little cliche, but I am happy with the results.

The word Velocity comes preloaded with immediate ideas of graphic representation. For me, and for this company however, I chose to represent the concept of perpetual motion. The company was founded on the idea that velocity of money is the best way to create wealth – keeping it standing still will yield a lower return that keeping it moving through the eco-system of the economy.

With this logo wanted to capture the speed, water and intensity that only an image one of the boats would provide. I also knew I wanted to create a graphic illustration for the entire design of the campaign which I was responsible for. The result was an icon sketched from a photo in illustrator. I collaborated with other designers for various implementations of the logo for use in posters, hat’s, TV spots and billboards.
