Even though I am not retired, I thought I would check out Palm Springs – mostly because my retired Father was there and well, it beats Saskatoon in the winter – I can be anywhere with palm trees in the winter. This shot is from the Indian Canyon Golf and Country Club – South. The mountains behind the palms create an abrupted day, and the result is less time in the “Golden Hour” (known to photographers as the time around dawn and dusk when the light has more hue and seems to have texture, where the height of the day will often provide washed out colors.
